|
|
Nancy has been painting for 32 years and teaching for 31. Her style of painting is a "Refined Folk Art in Contemporary Colors." Her favorite subject to paint are veggies and fruit, but also loves Folk Art Scenes and florals. She also paints realistic acrylics, with oils, on fabric and with colored pencils. In 2007 Nancy started designing projects other than "folk art". Times are changing and Nancy has been painting many florals, more contemporary large canvases and multi-media with such items as wallpapers, stamps, texture etc, but still in unusual and contemporary colors. Nancy is very active in the Society of Decorative Painters, having served a term as Board Member at large on the Board of Directors. She was elected Vice-President President Elect for the year 2008-2009, and became President at the SDP Conference in Peoria in June. She is an member of six local chapters, serving on the board of four of them. Nancy is the proud recipient of the "Outstanding Chapter Service" award, presented at the Nashville Conference. Nancy has taught at the SDP National Convention and at many regional shows, including Creative Painting in Las Vegas, HOOT in Columbus, Ohio, Artist Expo in Houston, Portland, Seattle, Oklahoma, NET, Coast2Coast in Canada, etc. Nancy is available for travel teaching. |
