Stylized Folk Art in Unexpected Colors

On this page you will see sample of Nancy's other work.....from faux finishes, to gifts that have been painted for others, to pieces painted in Seminars. These pictures show some of the different styles that she paints in.   Also other pictures of interest in Nancy's life.

~I was asked to paint a gift for my good friend Georgia Magarrell in memory of her term of President of the Portland Raindrops chapter.  Here is a picture of her accepting the gift.

~I was also asked to paint a gift for Patricia Hamilton of the Wildflowers Chapter.  She looks happy to have received them!

~We have done an extensive renovation of our home recently.  My love of unusual and bright colors has played a big role in the project.  Purple, Teal and Lime green are the predominant colors of the house.

~Ornament for Library of Congress in 2005

~The Yellow Rose Chapter painted a mural in the King of Glory Lutheran church in Dallas in exchange for a meeting place.  Here is a finished pictures of all hard work.

~All four of our local SDP chapters paint memory boxes.  Click here to find out more about memory boxes.  Below are just a couple of ones I have painted.

~My friend, Linda McDonald commissioned a mural in a Dallas Office Building.  I helped her with parts of it.  The first picture is the completed mural.  The second is a Dart Train and the third is the American Airlines Building that I worked on.

~Color Washed Walls, using three colors, glaze and rags

~2005 Yellow Rose Chapter's gift.  Nancy painted a Bentwood box with fruit and presented to Kathleen Ruyle, outgoing president.

~Bentwood box painted for my dear friend Susan Mynyk as her Chapter President's gift.

~Fruit painted on a purchased clock (painted over design that was already on the clock) for SDP Board Secret Sister Gift.

~Seminar piece taken with Karen Brower using Mother of Pearl

~Santa necklace painted from Suzie Wolfe's designs.  Have painted many of these to teach and sell.

~Picture with Laura Bush and friend Linda McDonald in front of the White House Tree in December 04.  SDP painted ornaments for the White House Christmas tree and was invited to there for a special reception.  It was a wonderful memory to last as lifetime.

~The 2004-05 SDP Board of Directors - "getting ready for Nashville"!

~Yellow Rose Chapter Auction Piece - reversible screen.  I painted the Folk Art Winter Scene as a tribute to Helen Cavin, my dear friend.
